Quote:
photo-dk is bestowed on photographers in recognition of their outstanding and original creative and technical work within a chosen genre. The work is expected to be individual and be expressive of a genuinely personal style with a touch of originality in the approach to the genre chosen.
The presented panel must consist of at least 20 physical photographic works of art while the format may vary depending on the chosen genre and the desired expressive intent. It is essential that the panel presentation is of a high standard supporting the works.
photo-dk photographers are mastering photography at a very high level.
Internationally the title is the equivalent of e.g. Fellow granted by the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, Master Photographers Association, Royal Photographic Society or FEP's Master QEP etc..... photo-dk photographers constitute the "backbone" of the qualification system and are expected to contribute as work horses in the judging of lower-ranking submissions and not least as mentors of aspiring photographers.
In their capacity of mentors, photo-dk photographers are expected to be capable of appreciating and understanding other photographers ways of imaging and working, thereby be capable of supporting other photographers in their endeavours to develop a proper personal style.
photo-dk photographers are expected to contribute to promoting the general development of photography through active participation in work for the Association.
photo-dk photographers are also expected to show a dedicated responsibility for the life-long professional development of other photographers.
